The date passed without a third trailer. Rockstar did post to the Newswire on August 6, 2026, but it announced Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look — a presentation premiering August 27 — not a trailer. `debunked` rather than `unannounced` is correct here: someone made a specific, dated claim and the date arrived without it happening. Do not treat the Extended Look announcement as this rumour coming true; see extended-look-premieres-august-27-2026.
